🧑‍🎓The Origin Of Emoji - And The Beginning Of MoMoJi

The creator of Emoji icons that is currently making waves is Kurita Shigetaka, a former employee of Docomo. In 1998, he designed a set of 176 emotion icons, each sized at 12x12 pixels, for the i-mode service, which was the world's first mobile internet service. Shigetaka conceived the idea of Emoji when he realized that text messages could lead to misunderstandings, while simple images, such as a heart, could convey messages more easily.

The use of emoticons in conversations has become an interesting habit for the majority of users today. It helps create liveliness and attraction to any online conversation. Certainly, we can expect many more new emoticons to be created and used in the near future. With the desire to help spread the use of Emoji to express emotions in conversations more, we launched the Momoji project. This will be a community of people who love using Emoji and creating many new Emoji symbols.
